More about 3D Printing Molds
We are an industrial 3D printing source factory.
We have 30 expensive SLM 3D metal printers (and the number is still increasing).
And we have 14 CNC machines and 60 plastic 3D printers.
Moreover, we have invested in six factories specializing in 3D printing and CNC finishing.
We use our 3D Printers and CNC machines to make various molds, including:
- Injection Molds
Mainly for plastic injection molding (thermoplastic / thermosetting).
The injection molds we can 3D print include: mold cores / inserts with conformal cooling channels, and rapid prototyping injection molds.
Common metal materials for 3D – printed injection molds:
Mass – production inserts: Die steel S136 (corrosion – resistant), NAK80 (high mirror finish), H13 (high – temperature resistant)
Rapid prototyping: Aluminum alloy AlSi10Mg
- Die – casting Molds
For metal 3D printing, it is mainly used to make local high – temperature – resistant / conformal cooling components, not the entire mold (the overall die – casting mold still mainly uses traditional forged die steel).
Commonly used metal materials: H13 die steel, Inconel 718 (nickel – based superalloy), SKD61 - Stamping Dies
Metal 3D printing is not used for making the entire stamping die, but mainly for complex and precise inserts and small – scale customized stamping dies.
Commonly used metal materials: Cr12MoV (high – hardness die steel), H13, Stainless steel 316L - Special Dies
Besides the above mainstream molds, metal 3D printing can also be used to manufacture rubber molds, sand molds, glass molds, powder metallurgy molds, etc.
In addition, our plastic 3D printers can produce high – precision master molds for silicone molds (vacuum casting molds), and indirectly manufacture silicone molds for producing chocolates, soaps, candles, ice cubes, etc.
